Last week, Orange Appeal magazine sponsored the Orlando Women’s Conference, designed to showcase our city’s most prominent businesswomen. The event was held at The Peabody Hotel, and had a wonderful turnout of over 300 women. The one-day conference was packed with informative sessions ranging in topics from lifestyle wellness, lessons in leadership, and building entrepreneurial skills, and was a platform for local women business owners to create new leadership opportunities for up and coming women-run businesses.
Athena Powerlink Orlando was proud to partner with Orange Appeal for the event, and participated in a session called “So You Want To Grow? The Million Dollar Club.” Moderated by Cari Coats, Executive Director for the Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship at Rollins College, the session was held to give advice to new business owners that hope to grow their businesses. Panel members included Diana LaRue of Appleton Creative, Elizabeth Dvorak of Workscapes, Debbie Farah of Bajalia International, and Stacy Ethun of Park Avenue Group. The women lectured on the tactics and skills each used to grow their businesses to the success stories they are today. LaRue’s partner, Appleton Creative Video Director Mike Speltz, came along to document the exciting day. Click on the video to view highlights of the panel!
