Coming in at number four, Florida is estimated to have 587,600 firms owned by women. These statistics were released in March of this year from the State of Women-Owned Businesses Report. Together these firms raise about 77.6 billion dollars in revenue each year for the sunshine state. Between 1997 and 2012 Florida’s women-owned firms have grown 73.9 percent.
